Over the years, Kai’s Virgin Vapor has tested hundreds of e-liquid products using advanced analytical methods, including gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS). Whenever we went to vape shows and conventions, we collected samples and brought them all back to our lab for our chemist to run through our GCMS.
What we found was eye-opening: many products marketed as “premium” or “clean” contained compounds that were never disclosed to customers. Some even contained compounds of concern that the manufacturers were specifically claiming were not present.
That experience shaped our approach.

As users of our own products, we never put anything into our vape juices that we wouldn't vape ourselves and we lab test our entire lineup to make sure every flavor meets our standards.
HPHC stands for Harmful and Potentially Harmful Constituents, a list of compounds identified by the FDA as substances of concern in vapor products.
While many manufacturers test for a limited subset—or don’t test at all—we go further.

Many e-liquids rely heavily on artificial sweeteners to enhance flavor.

The sweetness in our vape juices comes direct to you from mother nature. It's the natural sweetness present in the pure, natural and organic flavors we use, extracted directly from the named fruit. We never add any other sweeteners, artificial or otherwise.

While certain ingredients—such as vegetable glycerin (VG) and flavor extracts—can be certified organic, nicotine-containing vape products are generally not eligible for USDA organic certification due to the presence of nicotine itself. This means that zero nicotine vape juices can be certified organic, whereas nicotine-containing ones generally cannot.
For a number of years we held organic certification as a USDA organic handling facility and our zero nicotine line of vape juices were certified organic and bore the USDA organic seal. While we may seek to renew our organic certification in the future, after getting an inside look at what organic certification means, we have begun to place a greater emphasis on actual lab testing.
The primary reason for that is, to our surprise, organic certification is entirely "process based" rather than "product based." This means that, to attain organic certification, you must show that you follow certain processes--like segregating organic and non-organic manufacturing equipment, using approved sanitizing agents, and, of course, formulating with organic ingredients. While those things are important, we have come to feel that, in our increasingly toxic world, what really matters is how clean the final product is. That's why we place such a huge emphasis on lab testing. Lab testing shows how successful a manufacturer is in actually producing a product that meets the real goal: keeping out impurities, contaminants, and chemicals we don't want in our bodies.
