The Innokin Adept is a well made and beautifully designed e-cig starter kit and you notice that starting the minute you first lay your eyes on the box. The kit comes in a white box from the factory and even the package is well built and nicely designed.
That's probably because the Innokin Adept was designed by Phil Busardo and Dimitris Agrafiotis (also known as the Vaping Greek), two long time vaping advocates who are well known in the vaping world. The designers put their names and signatures to the box:
The back of the box lists the contents of your kit, an assortment of notices and warnings, and the anti-counterfeiting hologram and QR code scratch off area:
As listed, this e-cig starter kit contains:

We will go over each of these items separately with pictures below.
It's important to pay attention to the anti-counterfeiting measures featured on the back of the box. There is both a hologram and QR code scratch off area:
The hologram will be visible when you move the box and the scratch off area will reveal the QR code as shown in the picture above. When scanned with your phone, the QR code will enable you to authenticate the starter kit with Innokin directly.
Counterfeit products are a huge problem when it comes to higher end items manufactured in China. Trademark and branding rights seem to be far less strictly enforced in China leading to a large number of inferior knockoff products being sold under an established brand name. The consumer may purchase these inferior knockoffs thinking they are getting a deal when, in fact, they may be getting a cheaply made product produced by a manufacturer who has cut corners on product quality and safety.
Because of this, it's important to pay attention to anti-counterfeiting measures. In addition, always purchase from reputable resellers. Time to meet your new Innokin Adept! Slide the box open by pulling the ribbon on the right hand side of the box.
The box then folds open to reveal two compartments.
On the right side, labeled "Innovation Inside," is the Innokin Adept itself. On the left side, labeled "Accessories," is the accessory bundle that comes with the kit. Let's start with the device itself.
Depress the tab and lift the lid to open the right side of the box:
You'll find the body of the Innokin Adept, along with the Zlide tank, a spare coil and a spare glass tube.
The main body of the Innokin Adept contains the 3000 mAh battery. It is housed in durable shell with a rubberized exterior to make it easy and comfortable to grip.
You'll also find the Zlide tank:
The tank that comes with this kit holds up to 2 mL of vape juice, however, if you prefer a bigger tank, we also offer a 4 mL version. The 4 mL version is a bit wider around but doubles the e juice in your reservoir, which can be helpful if you're out and about for much of the day.
You'll also find a spare 1.6 ohm coil in the main compartment:
The Zlide tank comes with a 0.48 ohm coil pre-installed from the factory but you can swap it out to start with the 1.6 ohm coil if you prefer.
You'll also see a glass tube. This is a spare allowing you to replace the glass component of the vape juice tank if it should get cracked or shattered without having to purchase a whole new tank. This is great to have and swapping out the glass tube is a cinch requiring no tools or special know-how (you can find a video tutorial on swapping out the tube on our glass tube product page).
On the left half of the box, you'll find the included accessories.
The spare drip tip is always nice to have. The Zlide tank comes with one already so, with the spare, you'll get two in total.
One important thing to note about the drip tips is the Zlide tank child safety feature. The Zlide vape juice tank is designed to require several steps to open it and gain access to the e-juice inside. This prevents children from getting into the e-liquid and also prevents the tank from accidentally opening in your purse or pocket. One of the safety steps is the required removal of the drip tip, however, if you use a standard drip tip or the replacement tip (shown on the left in the photo above), you can bypass this safety feature. The tip pictured on the right activates the safety feature.
You'll also find an assortment of silicone O-rings. These enable you to replace any O-rings on the tank or drip tips that may wear out over time. It's rare to have to use these, as the silicone rings are generally pretty durable, but it's great to have replacements for when you do need them so you don't have to buy a whole new tank just because the ring got worn through.

There are also a couple of very tiny replacement screws. They're small and hard to see so be careful not to lose them. These screws can replace the screws on the top of the tank should you need. A T2 Torx screwdriver is required.
Lastly, you may wonder what the oddly shaped piece of silicone is that looks like the tab on a soda can. We certainly did!
It turns out, that's a replacement cover for the e-liquid tank called the top cap slide seal. Accessing and replacing this part requires the T2 Torx screwdriver as well but all other parts can be easily replaced with no special tools required.
While many e-cig starter kits come with minimal or poorly written directions, the Innokin Adept Starter Kit gets high marks when it comes to out-of-the-box information to get you up and running.
The User's Manual is clearly written, well illustrated, and simple to follow. You can use our How to Guide for more detail but the included user's manual will give you the basics and get you up and running in a few minutes. There's also a QR code that will link you to some instructional videos if you prefer to watch a video.
You'll also find the Warning and Safety Booklet. While most of the information is probably nothing new to an experienced e-cig user, if you're a newer vaper, this booklet is definitely worth a look.
The booklet also features a warranty card. Because you will need the product authentication number and the serial number to fill out the warranty card, fill this card out when you first open the box before you lose track of any information you might need.

The warranty & safety booklet also contains additional QR codes. One will allow you to verify your Innokin product and the other will take you to additional warranty information.
